Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the forage base of farms: the presence of pastures, hayfields, the number of harvested coarse and concentrated feeds; the quality of feed with the determination of chemical composition, the number of grazing days in winter. The duration of the stall period in the Chapaevsky Stud Farm LLP ranges from 165 to 170 days, since this farm is located in the dry-steppe zone; and in the Hafiz farm located in the semi-desert zone – from 150 to 155 days. The nutritional value and chemical composition of the main types of feed have been studied. According to the results of the chemical composition of the feed, livestock feeding rations were compiled. Feeding rations were balanced according to the main nutritional elements. The analysis of the data obtained indicates that the level of full–fledged feeding of breeding bulls and cows does not meet the feeding standards.
