Abstract

Selection for exterior and constitutional characteristics allows you to create animals with an optimal body structure, which contributes to improving their productivity and life expectancy. In this regard, intensive development of milk production imposes excessive demands not only on the level of productivity, but also on the strength of the constitution of animals, body type and other parameters. And that is why more and more attention is being paid to the constitutional and exterior features of animals. The aim of the work was to evaluate the physique of the daughters of the Holstein black-andwhite bulls and to identify bulls that can be used in the future for corrective selection in herds to obtain animals of the desired exterior. A linear assessment of bulls by the type of physique of daughters was carried out on 149 breeding cows of 1-3 calving in 5 farms of the Akmola region. In accordance with the indicators of the linear assessment, the eye assessment and the data of the exterior profile, the use of bulls Diyu 7013 and Doda 7005 on the livestock of the studied farms is preferable than the Liner 1881.
